CERAMAR is a ceramic protective spray for the gas nozzles of fume extraction torches.
When sprayed onto the gas nozzle, a white ceramic varnish film is formed to prevent nozzle cracking and overheating. CERAMAR prevents spatter build-up and increases the service life of consumables by up to 5 to 10 times.
What are the main characteristics of the CERAMAR ceramic spray?
- Spray allowing the deposition of a smooth, white, dry (non-greasy) ceramic film
- High-performance non-stick, anti-spatter protection for ENGMAR fume extraction torches
- Optimal thermal protection (the best currently available on the market: up to 1600°C)
Why using the ENGMAR ceramic spray?
- Prevent weld spatters: The treated surface remains clean for longer, optimizing weld bead quality and reducing maintenance interventions.
- Long-lasting protection of the torch and consumables: thanks to thermal and mechanical protection, ENGMAR gas nozzles retain their original properties for much longer.
- Time savings: less cleaning and fewer part replacements
- Reduced short circuits between the gas nozzle and the contact tip
- Long service life: a single application provides up to 4 hours of welding at 300 A and 29 V (average observed)
Comparison: without spray and with ceramic spray
| Without ceramic spray | With ceramic spray | |
| Cleaning frequency | High | Very low |
| Nozzle lifespan | Low | 5 to 10 times longer |
| Spatter adhesion | High | Almost none |
How to use the CERAMAR Ceramic spray ?
Operating procedure:
1. Apply a thin layer of CERAMAR on your ENGMAR gas nozzles. (they must be clean and cold)
2. Leave to dry and do not touch for a least 5 minutes.
3. Optimum drying is achieved after 4 hours*
For an optimal result, we recommend you to treat your gaz nozzles at the end of day for the next day and to apply the product regularly (once to twice per day) on the gas nozzles.
